In this era of college football recruiting, a prospect flipping schools had become extremely normal, but Notre Dame received great news that one of its 2026 commits wont be doing that.
Maryland cornerback Khary Adams decided on the Irish just a few weeks ago, and a Michigan fan believed that he will make an eventual flip. The 6-foot, 2-inch and 175-pounder was quick to squash that idea, saying “No,” it would not happen.

Adams then doubled down on Tuesday, saying that he is “locked in” with Notre Dame. This is exactly what Irish fans want to hear, as he is one of the top corners in the country, ranking as the No. 75 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite. Pennsylvania safety Joey O’Brien committed on the same day, as the two wanted to roam the secondary together.
Fortunately, they will be doing that in South Bend, as the pair along with safety Ayden Pouncey make up an impressive haul in the defensive backfield. The future is extremely bright for Notre Dame, as Adams is a big part of that.
