What you saw from the Ohio State basketball team last season should look drastically different this season. It almost has to with a very disappointing season that saw the Buckeyes miss the NCAA Tournament for the third-straight year. There has been some significant roster turnover with a few key pieces returning, but with a lot of new faces.
One of those new faces is freshman guard Mathieu Grujicik, who came all the way from Germany to the banks of the Olentangy to play for the Buckeyes. Ohio State head coach Jake Diebler has been taking to social media to provide some offseason updates and has, on occasion, broken down the playing ability and skills of some of the newcomers.

And that’s exactly what Diebler did this past week in his latest video. He talked about what Grujicik brings to the team, the mismatches he can create, and the elite shooting ability of the 6-foot, 6-inch combo guard. Take a look at the analysis from Diebler below and maybe you too will be as excited about his arrival as the coaching staff appears to be.
We keep hearing a lot more optimism coming out of the Ohio State basketball offices this season, but we’ll wait to see what kind of product the Buckeyes put on the field before getting too excited.
