The Indiana Fever seem to have found their stride with Caitlin Clark back in the lineup, securing a third straight win during the 2025 WNBA season.

On Tuesday, the Fever handed the Connecticut Sun an 85-77 loss at TD Garden in Boston, home of the Celtics.
Boston had one of her worst scoring performances of the season: 11 points on 2-of-8 shooting (25%) with six rebounds, well below her season averages of 16 points on 57.7% shooting and 7.8 rebounds. She did, however, improve her playmaking numbers with four assists against the Sun.
Sophie Cunningham, on the other hand, proved a key piece for Indiana off the bench, recording 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting, three rebounds and three steals.

After the win, Cunningham and Natasha Howard took part in the postgame media availability. When asked about Boston’s “rough shooting night,” the former Phoenix Mercury guard made it clear how important Boston is to the team.

“She just draws so much attention,” Cunningham commented. “People have to guard her. When she draws that, she opens (the court) up for everyone like Tash. I think she is one of the more selfless people on our team, and she’s OK with that. And that’s what it’s going to take to win these type of ballgames.”
Howard also highlighted Boston’s playmaking during Tuesday’s win, mentioning the Fever All-Star had “her hands full with Tina (Charles),” a former WNBA MVP.
While the Fever improved to 12-10, they may have lost Clark to another groin injury. She left the game in the final minute. It is unclear what Clark’s recovery timeline will look like, but Indiana must hope she will not miss any more time.
Up next for the Fever is a trip to New York to face the Liberty on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
