New #1 Contender For WWE Tag Team Titles Determined During 7/18 SmackDown

by

The July 18 episode of WWE SmackDown was quite a show at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. There was a lot to take care of, including figuring out a new #1 contender for the tag team titles.

This week on SmackDown, Fraxiom, Motor City Machine Guns, Andrade & Rey Fenix, and #DIY clashed in a Fatal 4-Way to determine the No. 1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles for next week’s SmackDown.

This match went down during the show’s second hour. It took about thirty seconds before pandemonium broke out, as all four teams were going all out to get that title shot against the Wyatt Sicks.

Fenix and Andrade were able to work together very well, but their momentum didn’t keep up for long. They were soon tagged out of the match as the match continued. This match stretched through two commercial breaks as fans saw four of the best teams on SmackDown battle.

There was a lot going on in this match, and many near falls as well. This also included some big dives to the outside from Axiom and Fenix along the way. Candice LeRae was also around to provide a distraction for #DIY.

In the end, Andrade and Fenix were able to pull off the big win and secure a future title match. Only time will tell if the new team will be able to topple the Wyatt Sicks next week.
