Isla Dawn has just revealed what she has been doing for a while following her WWE release earlier this year.
While speaking to the Daily Star, Isla Dawn was asked what life had been like since her WWE release, especially after she went off the grid. Dawn said that it had been a welcome break. Having lived in America for nearly three years, she barely had time to return home.
Visits to Scotland were usually short, only about five days, before she had to fly back to the U.S. As a result, she missed a lot of important family moments, including birthdays and holidays, which meant a great deal to her.
“It’s been nice. I went home because obviously, living in America for the last—now almost three years—I barely got home. I’d be back in Scotland for five days, and then I’d have to be back in the US again. I missed so much of family time—birthdays, Christmas, just so much. And my family is so important to me.”
When she finally had the chance, she went back to Scotland and stayed at her mom’s house for a whole month. Dawn said it was the best time since she got to see her nephews every day, spend time with her sisters, and meet old friends. It gave her the chance to slow down and relax for once.
The former WWE Superstar also used that time to think about what really matters to her. And for Isla, her family is the most important thing. She said her family means everything to her.
“I went home for like a month and just stayed at my mom’s house, and it was the best. I loved it. Getting to see my nephews every day, hanging out with my sisters, seeing old friends—I just really took time to relax and not feel like I’m constantly on the go and running around.
It was more like, ‘Ah, what do I want to do? What’s important to me?’ And honestly, family is massively important. They’re my everything, without a doubt.”
Isla Dawn clearly made the best of her time after her WWE exit but she is now more than determined to show the world what she’s made of. Therefore, we’ll have to see how 2025 turns out for Dawn.
