After weeks of delays and behind-the-scenes drama, all hurdles have been reportedly cleared, and the much-awaited full schedule of the upcoming Asia Cup 2025 is expected to be announced within the next two days, possibly as soon as Saturday, July 26.
After the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting in Dhaka, things have become easier among the India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh cricket boards, as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is now set to make an official announcement regarding the upcoming Asia Cup 2025.
BCCI ready to unveil full schedule for Asia Cup 2025
As reported by Cricbuzz, the schedule for the upcoming T20 tournament may be announced in phases, possibly with the first phase on Saturday, with the rest coming on Monday, July 27. The Asia Cup is expected to be held between September 10 and 28, but the dates are still being finalized.

The official announcement will be made through the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) platform once the BCCI wraps up formalities with its commercial partners. On the other hand, Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the most likely venues for the continental tournament.
As the official host, the BCCI is preparing the final draft. It is being said that there may be slight adjustments to match timings or fixtures, but the Asia Cup 2025 window remains locked in for the second and third weeks of September.
Asia Cup 2025 to feature 8 teams
Meanwhile, the report suggested that the upcoming T20 tournament is set to feature eight teams: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, UAE, Hong Kong, and Oman. A total of 19 matches are expected to be played, with the final likely to take place on September 28.
India and Pakistan are expected to be placed in the same group, which could lead to three high-voltage clashes between the twoβone in the group stage, one in the Super 4s, and possibly another in the final. However, the BCCI is yet to finalize the commercial partners for the event.

Recently, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia has confirmed that an official announcement about the Asia Cup 2025 will be made soon. He mentioned that all preparations are moving in the right direction, and fans can expect the full details to be shared within a few days.

Devajit Saikia was quoted as saying by PTI: βOur vice-president Rajeev Shukla attended the ACC meeting. He will brief the members. I donβt believe in speculations, so you will get to know officially in a few days time.β
Notably, India and Pakistan recently faced each other in the group stage of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai. India had won that match and went on to lift the trophy against New Zealand after 12 years earlier this year.
The tournament was supposed to be hosted in Pakistan, but it was held under a hybrid model since the BCCI refused to allow the Indian cricket team to cross the border. As a result, all of Indiaβs matches, including the semifinal and final, took place in Dubai, UAE.
