Tennessee basketball makes top nine schools for 2026 four-star power forward

2026 four-star power forward Latrell Allmond announced his top nine schools, according to Joe Tipton of On3.

Tennessee joins Maryland, Indiana, Virginia, Arizona, Kansas, Michigan State, Oklahoma State and Miami for his top nine schools.

The 6-foot-8, 225-pound prospect is from Petersburg High School in Petersburg, Virginia. 247Sports ranks Allmond as the No. 6 power forward in the class and the No. 2 player in Virginia.

Tennessee offered him a scholarship on Sep. 25, 2023. He has not visited Tennessee.

Georgetown was the first school to offer Allmond a scholarship on June 20, 2022. He also holds Power Four scholarship offers from Mississippi State, Rutgers, Florida State, North Carolina State, Ole Miss, Washington, Providence, LSU, Louisville, Missouri and Michigan.

Tennessee does not have a commitment in its 2026 basketball recruiting class. The Vols have six commitments in their 2025 basketball recruiting class: forward DeWayne Brown, small forward Amari Evans, point guard Troy Henderson, forward Nate Ament, shooting guard Clarence Massamba and shooting guard Ethan Burg.
