Sparks head coach Lynne Roberts is very familiar with Pili. Roberts coached Pili at the University of Utah for the forward’s final two collegiate seasons.
Pili thrived under Roberts and was named 2023 Pac-12 Player of the Year.
In 36 games over two WNBA seasons, Pili, 24, is averaging 2.2 points and 1.2 rebounds per game, while shooting 43.3% from the field and 34.2% from beyond the arc.
Before attending Utah, Pili played locally at Dimond High and went to USC for two years before transferring for her final two campaigns.
The Sparks are 12-15 and currently have the 10th best record in the WNBA.
