The Missouri Tigers gained a huge commitment back on June 7th from 2026 Pompano Beach (Fla.) Monarch wide receiver Jabari Brady. It was a massive victory for head coach Elijah Drinkwitz, winning out against schools such as Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Michigan, LSU, Miami, Texas A&M, Penn State, Florida, and Auburn among many others.

Although Brady has been strong in his commitment, that hasn’t stopped other programs from continuing to pursue him. That includes the Wolverines, who have been pushing heavily. In an interview that Brady did with Rivals recruiting analyst John Garcia Jr., he spoke about Michigan, and the potential that he might take a visit.
Here is what Brady told Garcia.
“The receiver coach (Ron Bellamy) there says that he doesn’t care which school I go to, he’s going to put pressure on me no matter what to come to Michigan,” Brady told Garcia. “You know, Bryce Underwood is a great quarterback, so he is trying to get me to have a connection with him.
“I’ll always have loyalty to the school I’m committed to, Missouri,” he continued. “But they really want me to go up there, so I don’t know. I’ll think about it. I’ll most likely visit.”
From a recruiting rankings perspective, Brady is viewed a little bit all over the place. He is a four-star player by some, and a three-star by others. On the 247 Sports Composite ranking, Brady currently sits as a four-star player, as well as the No. 390 overall player, and the No. 58 wide receiver for the 2026 recruiting class. Brady also sits as the No. 55 player from the state of Florida, a hotbed of next level talent.

As a sophomore in 2023, Brady was a dominant player for Monarch. In 14 games, he managed to haul in 70 receptions for 1,392 yards and 10 touchdowns. On defense, Brady also was able to collect 29 total tackles, two interceptions, and four pass breakups.
As a junior, Brady spent a part of the season at Chaminade-Madonna Prep before transferring back to Monarch. He managed to play in just seven games, managing to collect 23 receptions for 485 pounds and seven touchdowns, while also making 14 total tackles, an interception, and two pass breakups.
For the Michigan Wolverines, the wide receiver position is one that needs to get a ton better. If they are able to flip a talented pass catcher like Brady, it would be some major help. Regardless, the team is going to need to attract some more talented wideouts for quarterback Bryce Underwood to throw to.
