One of Iowa State‘s two 2026 commits was included, while another narrowly missed the cut in this week’s latest Rivals150 release.
On Tuesday, Rivals updated its class of 2026 player rankings for the eighth time. This marks the sixth update for the 2026 class, featuring a full allotment of 150 players. The movement and additions are based on two key sources: in-person player evaluations through the end of the travel ball season, and film study and intel gathered on prospects since the previous update.
Plymouth (Minn.) Wayzata shooting guard Christian Wiggins checked in at #87 nationally with a 91-grade and continues to be considered a four-star prospect. The future Cyclone also the top-ranked player in Minnesota and the #20 shooting guard nationally.
His class counterpart, Milwaukee (Wisc.) West Allis Central combo guard Yusef Gray just missed the Rivals150 cut and is considered a three-star recruit with an 86-grade.
It was a big finish to the summer slate for Wiggins and his D1 Minnesota team, as the rising senior shooting guard scored 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting in the title game of the Palmetto Road tournament on the Adidas 3SSB circuit. He was 4-of-6 from long range during a 62-61 defeat.
In the semifinal round, he scored 16 points and grabbed five rebounds to help send his team onto the finale. Wiggins connected on 5-of-9 shots from the field, including knocking down three of his four long-range looks.
The Minnesota native chose the Cyclones in mid-April over offers from Creighton, Michigan, Clemson and Iowa.
Like Wiggins, the Wisconsin native Gray saved his best for last in the fourth session of the Nike EYBL.
He averaged 20 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game to earn second-team honors during the week-long tournament in North August, South Carolina. During a win over Nike Meanstreets, he led the way with 25 points and four steals.
In the latest Rivals Industry Rankings, Gray sits just outside the top 150, checking in at #153. He’s also the top-ranked in Wisconsin and the 40th-ranked shooting guard nationally.
The combo guard chose Iowa State in January over offers from Creighton, DePaul, Arkansas State and Grambling State. He also saw some summer interest from Kentucky following his commitment.
