Following a season that saw them bench the second-highest-ranked quarterback recruit in program history, David Pollack is all in on the Texas A&M Aggies’ being good in 2025.

The 2024 season marked the first under head coach Mike Elko, as the Aggies posted an 8-5 record. While Connor Weigman was expected to be the answer at quarterback, the team found its momentum with redshirt freshman Marcel Reed at the helm.
Reed proved to be an impressive dual-threat quarterback, throwing for 1,864 yards with 15 touchdowns through the air, while tallying another 547 yards and seven scores on the ground. Along with him returning, the Aggies also have a slew of size across the offensive line, and arguably one of the best running backs in the sport in Le’Veon Moss.
All facets of the offense that excited Pollack on a recent episode of “See Ball Get Ball.”

David Pollack Says Texas A&M’s Offense Will be a “Problem”
“I think that people are going to realize about A&M, I think their offense is going to be a problem this year,” Pollack said. “Because you look across the line of scrimmage on that o-line, they get a lot of bodies. A lot of girth. They got Bell at running back, who’s gonna dot your eyeballs. They got a QB who can absolutely fly and can throw the football.”
In addition to Reed and Moss, the Aggies added a slew of pass catchers in the portal, headlined by North Carolina State transfer KC Concepcion and Mario Craver.

Can Texas A&M Overcome Mediocrity and a Tough Schedule?
For a program that carries itself as one of the key contenders in college football, the Aggies have finished with eight or fewer wins in five of the last six seasons.
In addition to constantly hovering around eight wins, the Aggies haven’t played for a conference title since 1998, back when they were in a 12-team Big 12 Conference that also featured Nebraska and Missouri.
Although they have a talented roster, the Aggies will also have to work through a schedule that ESPN’s FPI ranks as the No. 9 most difficult in college football. So, if they have any chance at taking that next step, Pollack’s take on the offense will need to come to fruition, and possibly be even better than his initial perception.
