UFC’s Paddy Pimblett names his fast food Mount Rushmore

Paddy Pimblett certainly doesn’t hide his affinity for fast food.

Pimblett (23-3 MMA, 7-0 UFC) was recently in Las Vegas to support his teammate Nathan Fletcher, who fought Rinya Nakamura at UFC on ESPN 71. While he joined Fletcher during his weight cut, it’s safe to say Pimblett wasn’t participating in his own weight watching.

“Hadn’t had a Chick-fil-A when I was here last time,” Pimblett said in a video on his YouTube channel. “Chick-fil-A’s good, lad. Not as good as In-N-Out.”

Pimblett has been known for ballooning up when he’s not in fight camp. After his most recent win over Michael Chandler at UFC 314, he put on 40 pounds in just a few days. It’s been a knock on him, something that even UFC CEO Dana White has shown concern about.

Since Pimblett doesn’t have a fight on the books at the moment, he and his crew strolled over to a Vegas Chick-fil-A, where he placed an order with a cashier who was a big fan of his – or maybe just a hater of the current lightweight champ.

“Beat the f*ck out of Ilia Topuria, please,” the worker said as he brought the fast food to Pimblett’s table.

Pimblett dug into his chicken sandwich and nuggets, apparently forgetting how much he enjoyed Chick-fil-A’s menu. This prompted a fast food Mount Rushmore ranking.

“Top four, like a Mount Rushmore?” Pimblett said. “Have to be In-N-Out. Probably have this in there. This is good. Do I need to have different types of food? Well, that Firehouse Subs is heavy, isn’t it? I’d probably have Firehouse Subs in there. We’ve got Maccies (McDonald’s) by ours, so I can’t really say Maccies. Panda Express – the panda. Panda, Panda, Panda.”

“By ours, we’ve only got what? Burger King, McDonald’s, and KFC? Now there’s like a Taco Bell and Popeyes and sh*t like that, but they’re like special ones in certain locations, where you have Maccies, Burger King, KFC everywhere. They need an In-N-Out as well. In-N-Out’s the heaviest burger. See, I think Five Guys is overrated, mate. These chips are well better than the ones at In-N-Out – and I love In-N-Out, but these chips are so heavy. Criss cross fries are well better.”

Chick-fil-A is delicious and landed at No. 4 on this year’s USA TODAY’s 10 best fast food restaurants in the US list. The other three on Pimblett’s Mount Rushmore didn’t make the cut.
