Bret Hart Claims WWE Invited Him to SummerSlam But Didn’t Save Him a Seat

by

Bret Hart’s relationship with WWE has always been complicated, and his latest story about SummerSlam proves that tension is still there.

Speaking during a Being The Elite Fan Page interview, Hart revealed that WWE reached out and invited him to attend the SummerSlam Premium Live Event, even telling him they wanted him seated in the crowd. But when he showed up, things took an unexpected turn.

“They invited me down for SummerSlam and the people from WWE told me they wanted me to be in the crowd. Then, once I got there, they told me they didn’t have any seats. I noticed that Kevin Nash got a seat. I don’t feel that WWE really appreciates me, even after Hulk’s passing. There’s no appreciation for anything I did.”

Hart’s remarks carry extra weight given that he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for the second time earlier this year alongside Steve Austin — a move that seemed to signal mutual respect between him and the company. But this latest incident has fans questioning just how valued “The Hitman” really is behind the scenes.

It’s unclear why WWE would go through the trouble of inviting Hart only to not save him a spot, but it’s yet another chapter in the long, unpredictable history between the two. Whether this will impact his future appearances with WWE remains to be seen.
