Former Minnesota Timberwolves center Jesse Edwards is set to sign with Melbourne United of Australia’s NBL. Edwards spent last season on a two-way deal with the Timberwolves.

In 34 G League games last season, Edwards averaged 11.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game. The 7-footer played for Syracuse and West Virginia in college.

Minnesota is expected return Tristen Newton on a two-way deal. The team also signed Enrique Freeman, in addition to drafting then signing Rocco Zikarsky to two-way contracts. Zikarsky’s deal is a two-year contract.
