Two Lady Vols combine to score 25 points in Sparks-Liberty WNBA game

Two former Lady Vols competed in the WNBA on Tuesday. One former Lady Vol missed her team’s game while in concussion protocol.

New York (21-11) defeated Los Angeles (15-17), 105-97, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

Rickea Jackson started and played 31 minutes for the Sparks. She totaled 16 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Jackson converted 7-of-20 field goal attempts and 2-of-10 three-point attempts.

The former Lady Vol is in her second professional season after being selected in the first round of the 2024 WNBA draft (No. 4 overall).

Rae Burrell also recorded nine points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal for Los Angeles in its second consecutive loss. She converted 3-of-7 field goal attempts, 2-of-2 free throw attempts and 1-of-2 free throw attempts.

Burrell played for the Lady Vols from 2018-22. She was selected in the first round by the Sparks (No. 9 overall) of the 2022 WNBA draft.

Isabelle Harrison did not play for the Liberty as she was in concussion protocol. She was injured against Minnesota on Sunday.

Harrison played for Tennessee from 2011-15 under head coaches Pat Summitt and Holly Warlick. She was selected in the first round of the 2015 WNBA draft (No. 12 overall) by Phoenix.
