Major Announcement Planned After Trick Williams Retains TNA World Title At Emergence

by

Trick-N-A Wrestling is still going strong.

TNA Wrestling brought Emergence to pay-per-view this week, and that included a big World Title match. Trick Williams entered as Champion, and he had a big fight on his hands.

Trick Williams won the TNA World Title at Battleground. It’s been Trick-N-A since then, much to the dismay of TNA fans. Moose was on hand at Emergence to end that run.

Moose challenged Trick Williams for the TNA World Title in the main event of TNA Emergence. This contest also received a big match feel thanks to the ring introductions. Williams also grabbed the microphone and cut a bit of a promo before the match to guarantee he would get heat.

This match got started off and the action moved to the outside of the ring. Trick Williams gained control of the match and the pace slowed down a bit until Moose was able to turn things around. The two had a decent back-and-forth match after that as they traded moves.

There were some close near falls near the end, with Trick Williams surviving a pop-up powerbomb from Moose. Then Trick was able to score a near fall of his own. Then they moved to the top rope as Moose nailed a superplex, hung on to nail a driver, however he wasn’t able to get to the pin.

Fans chanted, “this is awesome” as the match carried on, and the two started a slugfest. Moose nailed a spear, but Trick rolled out of the ring before he put Moose through the timekeeper’s table with a back body drop.

They returned to the ring and the referee was accidentally taken out by Trick Williams, and then Moose nailed another spear, but nobody could count the pin. Then Moose hit a bucklebomb, but Trick followed it up with a Trick Shot as the referee counted to another near fall.

The match kept going as the two men reset themselves. Eventually, Moose missed a spear into the buckle and Williams nailed a Trick Shot before he waited to follow it up with a second one to retain the title. After the match, TNA Director of Authority came out and it was revealed that he will be making a big announcement after Trick Williams’ title defense during tomorrow’s TNA television tapings. We will have full coverage here at Ringside News.

We will have to see what is next for TNA Wrestling. Their partnership with WWE’s NXT brand certainly brought in a new crop of talent to mix it up with TNA’s best. Only time will tell what other matchups we get over the next year.
