Strictly Bball has made a splash in today’s new age basketball media scene. Owning a TikTok account that has over 2.8 million followers, founders Joe Doerrer and Nolan Newberg have masted the art of basketball storytelling in short form. The duo have rapidly expanded over the past half a decade, partnering with the NBA amidst countless other national brands that you have heard of. They sponsor a team in the Twin Cities Pro-Am and for the second year in a row, brought some of the nation’s top talent to Minneapolis for the Strictly Bball 3×3 Nationals.
Bringing in elite talent from Georgia, Utah, Wisconsin, Ohio, Texas, and Minnesota, the Strictly Bball 3×3 Nationals brought in approximately 25 players who will be playing on TV at the D1 level within the next few years. Five star Taylen Kinney of Overtime Elite was handing out his 6’7 water to fans, a DJ was spinning some hot tracks, and approximately 1500 or so people showed out to see some of the nation’s finest go at it. Ultimately, it was Team Minnesota that wound up winning the event, but there were a number of others who put on a show.
Below are the top performers from the Strictly Bball 3×3 Nationals:
Taylen Kinney, 6’2, PG, Overtime Elite (GA), 2026
The highest ranked player in the event and arguably the most popular player in the class of 2026 did not disappoint at the Strictly Bball 3×3 Nationals. The shifty lead guard plays the game at his own pace, is an elite finisher with creativity at the rack, and has shown constant growth in his game over the years. The Kentucky native recently narrowed his list of schools to 12, but will ultimately have his choice of any college that he wants to attend.
Bo Ogden, 6’6, SG, Austin Westlake (TX), 2026
A name that absolutely exploded over the spring and summer, Bo Ogden showed why he will be an immediate plug and play guy as a shooter with size. He brings incredible patience as a shooter along with the confidence to let it fly, as seen by his 52 percent from 3-point range on nine attempts per game on the AAU circuit. Not just a shooter, he can put it on the deck in a straight line and plays above the rim on both ends of the court. Ogden has narrowed his final list to Tennessee, Purdue, Kansas, Texas, Gonzaga, and Virginia.
Katrelle Harmon, 6’5, PG/SG, Wasatch Academy (UT), 2026
Prior to the championship game, Katrelle Harmon made his college decision via many live streams and in front of the nearly 2,000 people in attendance, becoming the next big time recruit to make his way to Creighton. The combo guard has made huge strides in his game as a playmaker, leading the EYBL Scholastic in assists this past season at FAB 50 ranked Wasatch Academy. While more of a natural scorer, the Seattle native constantly puts pressure on the defense out of pick and roll play with his ability to pass the rock with either hand yet also score if you play off of him. Having played varsity since his middle school days, the four star guard will bring a wealth of high level playing experience to Creighton by the time that he steps foot on campus.
Donovan Davis, 6’8, PF, Freedom HS (WI), 2027
The top 2027 in Wisconsin lived up to his reputation at the Strictly Bball 3×3 Nationals, establishing himself as the top big man that the event had to offer. The new age big was perfectly comfortable scoring with his back to the basket, stretched the defense with his 3-point range, and used his length as a shot blocking presence. The top 50 forward picked up offers from the likes of Marquette, Syracuse, Iowa State, Wisconsin, Cal, and others over the past few months and doesn’t appear to be stopping any time soon.
Junior County, 6’5, SG, Wasatch Academy (UT), 2026
Another player who exploded this spring/summer was Junior County, a 6-foot-5 two way guard from Wasatch Academy. The bouncy wing is a big time shot creator who can play out of ball screens, finishes creatively with either hand at the rack, and shoots it well enough to keep you honest. A top 50 senior, Junior has narrowed his list to Maryland, Purdue, Arizona, Connecticut, and Indiana with no decision immediately looming.
Jayden Moore, 6’0, PG, Hopkins HS (MN), 2026
Playing at his home high school, Jayden Moore came into the Strictly Bball 3×3 Nationals with a chip on his shoulder and walked away with a championship. The explosive point guard made countless clutch shots, got into the paint at will, and reminded all onlookers why he is the best pure point guard in the state of Minnesota. Owning high major offers in both football and basketball, Jayden will have no shortage of options for the next level.
