With Florida State football set to turn the page and begin game planning for Alabama, head coach Mike Norvell confirmed after the Aug. 16 practice that both wide receiver Squirrel White and defensive tackle Kevin Wynn are battling injuries.
Both could miss some time in camp, according to Norvell.

White, who is projected to be one of the starting receivers, had battled injuries previously, dating back to his time at Tennessee. He also missed some time during the spring. Norvell plans to be cautious with the speedy wideout.
“Squirrel had to get something that came up. We’re feeling very confident that he will be available, but he’ll probably be limited here this next week.”
White played his first three years at Tennessee. In his career, he caught 131 catches for 1,665 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
As for Wynn, he sustained an injury last week, and he could miss more time than White. Norvell will be monitoring the true freshman between now and Alabama week.

“Kevin Wynn will be the one that we’ll see exactly where things go with that, but that could be one that could stretch a little bit,” Norvell said. “Have something happened here this last week, but we’ll kind of see as it goes.”
Wynn was an early enrollee and has shown promise in his first collegiate camp, and is expected to be a contributor on the defensive line. He was a four-star prospect coming out of Greensboro, Georgia. He also would provide depth in the three-man front that is led by Darrell Jackson Jr and James Williams.
