The NASCAR Cup Series has a rare Sunday off this weekend after the Aug. 16 race at Richmond Raceway.
The Richmond race is the first of three Saturday night races over the next month, including Aug. 23 at Daytona. The business end of the Cup Series season begins next weekend with the regular-season finale, the Coke Zero 400.

Austin Dillon earned a playoff spot via his win in the Cook Out 400 on Aug. 16 at Richmond Raceway.
Dillon won by 2.4 seconds over Alex Bowman, who now is right up against the playoff cutline with the Daytona regular season finale to go next weekend.
The Cup Series will race on Saturday again next week, with the Coke Zero 400 regular-season finale on Aug. 23 from Daytona International Speedway.
Two playoff spots are unclaimed.
