Chris Bey’s TNA Contract Status Revealed Amid Absence

by

Chris Bey suffered a serious neck injury at last year’s TNA Bound for Glory event and he’s been away from in-ring action since then. While his absence continues, his current contractual status with TNA has been revealed.

According to a report by Fightful Select, it was noted that Chris Bey’s TNA contract would have ended if he hadn’t suffered an in-ring injury. Sources in TNA said his deal was close to finishing, but he is still with the company and continues to be paid under the terms of his contract.

“Fightful Select confirmed that Chris Bey’s TNA contract would have been up if not for his unfortunate accident in the ring. TNA sources indicated that Chris Bey’s deal was nearing its end, but that he is still considered with the company and is being paid under the terms of his deal.”

Chris Bey also talked to Kate from Fightful at Wrestlecon. He said he’s very proud of how much TNA has grown. Even though he can’t be there right now, he’s happy the company is drawing some of its biggest crowds ever.

Bey praised Leon Slater, saying he’s been very impressed with him. He called Slater’s Swanton 450 one of the best moves in wrestling and said that Slater is “the first Leon Slater” and that he believes Slater is the future of the wrestling business.

As for himself, Chris Bey said he’s doing well both mentally and physically as he recovers. He admitted he still has a long way to go before a possible return. Some days it’s a struggle just to get out of bed, but he said it’s worth the fight. He’s thankful for the support he’s received and glad fans haven’t forgotten about him.

Earlier this year, Chris Bey gained the ability to walk and work out at the gym again. However, Bey admitted he really isn’t sure he will ever wrestle again and it could be a long time if he ever competes.

Chris Bey’s future in wrestling isn’t certain yet, but his strong mindset and positive attitude keep fans cheering for him. As TNA grows, fans will continue to pray that he somehow gets back in the ring again somewhere down the line.

Do you think Chris Bey will make a full in-ring comeback, and how big of a role could he play in TNA’s future once he returns? Sound off in the comments.
