WWE’s top-secret Premium Live Event for September 20 just got a name—and it’s bringing a twist no one saw coming.
According to WrestleVotes, the company is set to go all in on a throwback title for its new show: “September 20th, it’s a ‘Wrestlepalooza’…”
But that’s just the start. PWInsider previously reported that WWE’s upcoming Indianapolis event could air on ESPN, despite the fact that the company’s multi-year broadcast deal with the network isn’t supposed to kick in until April 2026.
“There has been discussion within the broadcast industry over the last few days that the planned added WWE event for this September… could end up being an extra, unique event that would air on ESPN.”
If true, this ESPN move would serve as a dry run for WWE’s new broadcast era and potentially pull a major audience away from AEW. That same night, AEW is set to run All Out at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena—marking what could be the first time a WWE main roster PLE directly competes with an AEW pay-per-view.
So far, WWE has kept things under wraps. But this surprise September show—now likely confirmed as Wrestlepalooza—may be the first of several curveballs as WWE prepares for its next phase of TV dominance.
Would you watch Wrestlepalooza on ESPN before the official deal kicks in—or are you sticking with AEW All Out? Sound off in the comments and let us know where your remote will land on September 20.
