Chamblee takes aim at DeChambeau: Watch the LIV bots celebrate if he plays well

by

Brandel Chamblee is known as someone who always openly shares his opinions, often criticizing the goings-on in the golf scene. Since LIV Golf's arrival in the golf world, Chamblee has shown an aversion to the Saudi project.

Three years have passed since the appearance of the controversial league, and it seems that the frustrations of some fans still do not end. It is noticeable that the frustrations and aversions towards LIV Golf are more pronounced among older golf fans, who are outraged by the influx of money into this sport, ie the way in which the leaders of LIV Golf attract famous golfers.

There isn't much left until the start of this year's Ryder Cup, and huge attention will be focused on LIV golfers.

Special attention is drawn to Bryson DeChambeau, a golfer who is achieving great results this year both at major tournaments and at LIV Golf.

Although he hasn't won any of the majors, his results show that he is a player that US team captain Keegan Bradley can count on.

Bradley responded via Twitter (X) when asked if he would support the 31-year-old golfer when he represents Team USA.

"He's one of the best players in the world, no doubt," Chamblee wrote on X.

"But he will be playing, not for the USA, but for Saudi Arabia in the Ryder Cup. If you disagree, just watch the LIV bots, LIV funders/supporters and those who have been bought by LIV celebrate if he plays well."

Emotions of older fans

As much as Chamblee supports the US team and wants them to celebrate, it's clear he has mixed feelings about Bryson DeChambeau.

Given the enormous significance this golfer will have for the team, it's hard for older golf fans to determine what emotions they actually feel about it all.

It's partly clear that love for the US team should outweigh any disapproval or hatred of LIV Golf, but many who value prestige and tradition will likely have a different view of the Ryder Cup when LIV Golf players are playing.
