South Carolina men’s basketball set to face NC State in exhibition matchup

by

South Carolina will face NC State in an exhibition game on Sunday, Oct. 26. The matchup will take place at First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Tip-off will be at 4:30 p.m. It’s the second game of a Sunday doubleheader as NC State’s women’s basketball team will face Maryland at 2 p.m.

This game won’t count towards the regular season schedule as it’s only an exhibition. South Carolina has also filled some of its non-conference slots earlier in the season. It will be playing in the Greenbrier Tip-off Classic in West Virginia in late November. The Gamecocks will face Butler on Nov. 21 and Northwestern on Nov. 23.

South Carolina will host Virginia Tech on Dec. 2 in the ACC-SEC Challenge and will play at Clemson with a date still to be determined.

The SEC schedule with opponents and dates was also recently revealed, which you can read more about here.

The new-look Carolina squad features 11 new players with six transfers headlined by the return of All-SEC guard Meechie Johnson. The squad features five freshmen led by highly touted guard Eli Ellis.
