While they defeated the Sky, blowing out Chicago without Angel Reese, they were on the losing end against the Wings.

Indiana suffered a loss to Dallas despite the Wings heading into the game as the underdogs.

After their most recent matchup against the Wings, Fever star Sophie Cunningham spoke on the loss in the latest episode of her personal podcast.

Cunningham called out Wings rookie Paige Bueckers, mentioning that the Dallas star received special treatment from the referees.

“I love Paige to death,” Cunningham said. “Do not get me wrong. I think she is a [expletive] of a player and like would love to play with her one day, but those refs were giving her every freaking whistle last night. Like, you literally couldn’t touch her.”

Bueckers responded to the message ahead of the Wings’ matchup against the Los Angeles Sparks.

“Everyone is entitled to their own unique personal opinion,” Bueckers said.

Bueckers might already be receiving star treatment in her rookie season in the WNBA.

Bueckers was drafted with the No. 1 overall pick and has certainly lived up to the hype. In her first season with the Wings, Bueckers has posted 18.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game.
