Griner has been playing alongside some of the biggest stars in the WNBA such as Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard.

All three players have helped put the Dream in position to compete for a WNBA title, currently ranked as one of the top teams in the league, forcing themselves in the same conversations as teams like the New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx.

On Friday, the Dream added to their roster, bulking their depth during the WNBA season.

Atlanta signed Sika Kone to a rest-of-season contract.

“Welcome to the A, Sika Kone,” posted its official social media account. “The Atlanta Dream has signed forward Sika Koné to a rest-of-season contract, the organization announced today.”

Before joining Brittney Griner on the Atlanta Dream, Sika Kone played 11 games with the Washington Mystics during the 2025 season.

Throughout the season, Kone posted 2.1 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game.

Kone was selected 29th overall by the New York Liberty in 2022 but opted to remain overseas. In 2023, the Chicago Sky acquired her after being waived by the Liberty. She was traded to the Minnesota Lynx the year after and traded again to Washington midway through the 2024 season.
