UFC 319: Loopy Godinez post-fight interview
UFC 319 winner Loopy Godinez spoke to MMA Junkie and reporters post-fight after her decision victory over Jessica Andrade on Saturday.
CHICAGO – Loopy Godinez met with MMA Junkie and other media members Saturday after her win over Jessica Andrade at UFC 319.
Godinez (14-5 MMA, 9-5 UFC) outworked Andrade (26-15 MMA, 17-13 UFC) for a unanimous decision on the preliminary card at United Center. Godinez won with a trio of 29-28 scores.
After the fight Godinez said the win over Andrade, a former women’s strawweight champion, will be a key moment on what she hopes is an ascension toward title contention, herself.
Godinez, from Mexico, has won six of her past eight fights – but Andrade is her most accomplished opponent yet.
