On Wednesday, August 20, the Netherlands National Cricket Team announced their squad for the upcoming series against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team.
The Netherlands tour of Bangladesh 2025 consists of a three-match T20I series, and the Royal Dutch Cricket Association selection committee has named a strong squad for the series.
Vikramjit Singh returns, Roelof van der Merwe left out
The T20I matches between the Flying Dutchmen and the Bangla Tigers are scheduled to be hosted by Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on August 30, September 1, and 3.

Vikramjit Singh, the 22-year-old batsman, has made his comeback to the T20I team for the series against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team.
His last T20I appearance came against Nepal in Glasgow on June 19, 2025, and he missed out on the team for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier at home.
Leg-spinner Shariz Ahmed and left-arm pacer Ben Fletcher have also made their T20I return. The comebacks of these players have been made possible because of the absence of several big names.
Bas de Leede, Michael Levitt, Zach Lion-Cachet, Hidde Overdijk, and Roelof van der Merwe have all been left out of the squad for the upcoming T20I matches.
The Dutch will be mostly affected by the absence of Bas de Leede and Roelof van der Merwe, because they have been top performers for the side for a very long time.
Scott Edwards will continue to lead the side, and the Netherlands will look to make the most of the knowledge of the conditions they have, as some players played last edition of the Bangladesh Premier League. Also, the Dutch head coach Ryan Cook was earlier with Bangladesh as their fielding coach.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz Withdraws From T20I Series vs Netherlands
Bangladesh National Cricket Team have suffered a major blow as their star all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz has pulled out of the T20I matches against the Netherlands due to personal reasons.
He received permission from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to skip the matches and will be on leave for 15 days to be with his wife, who is unwell, as per reports.
“Mehidy took leave from 20 August to 4 September to be with his wife, as she is not keeping well. As a result, he is not travelling to Sylhet for the skill camp ahead of the series against the Netherlands,” a BCB official told Cricbuzz.
Meanwhile, the all-rounder is expected to be available from September 5 and will most likely be a part of the Bangladesh squad for the Asia Cup 2025.
