The Nove Mesto 2025 European Para Archery Cup Leg 2 and Finals gets underway next week in Czechia. The tournament part of the European Para Grand Prix circuit, the first leg of which was held in Rome earlier this year.

Many of the world’s top para archers are attending including three world number ones: Ziva Lavrinc of Slovenia in recurve women, mixed team Paralympic champion Jodie Grinham in compound women, and individual Paralympic champion Harvinder Singh in recurve men. Singh also took gold at the Asian Para Championships earlier this year.

Other well-known international medallists including Nathan MacQueen, David Drahoninsky, Elisabetta Mijno, Jessica Stretton, Pooja, Sheetal Devi and Piotr Van Montagu will all be competing in the last major tournament before the Gwangju 2025 World Archery Para Championships in September.

Nove Město nad Metují, to give it its full title, has frequently hosted para archery events, including Paralympic qualifiers. It hosts this World Ranking & European Cup combined event every summer.

The first leg this year was notable for a three-way battle for the top of the medal table between Italy, Great Britain and India – a scenario likely to be repeated at this event. Unlike Rome, there is no VI competition at this leg.

The tournament will be held at the same time as the Chicago 2025 Americas Para Archery Cup, the second leg of the Americas continental circuit which kicked off in Morelia in July. One country – Brazil – has archers participating in both tournaments.
