Dustin Rhodes just shared a big update with fans after undergoing his long-awaited double knee replacement surgery.
The AEW veteran had been open for weeks about how both of his knees were “destroyed” and that he’d be heading into a major operation on August 21. Now, that surgery is officially behind him. Posting a videos from his hospital bed, Rhodes showed his heavily bandaged knees and let everyone know the procedure was successful, writing: “LFG 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Holy shit!!!”
This comes after Rhodes had told fans that doctors couldn’t repair the damage to his knees and that full replacements were the only option. He made it clear before going under the knife that this wasn’t the end of his career, saying: “By the way…….This is NOT THE END.”
Rhodes had been dealing with intense pain for months, even revealing earlier this month that nerve shots “hurt like a bitch” but gave him some temporary relief before surgery. With the operation complete, the next step for the 56-year-old star will be rehab and recovery, which could keep him out of action well into 2026.
Still, Dustin Rhodes has made a career out of defying expectations, and this latest battle is just another chapter in his legendary run.
Do you think Dustin Rhodes will return to the ring after such a major surgery, or should this be the moment he finally steps away? Drop your thoughts in the comments below.
