The Connecticut Sun (8-27) won their second game in a row for the first time this season when they defeated the Washington Mystics (16-20) 67-56 Aug. 21.
The Sun were led in scoring by UConn alum Tina Charles, who scored 21 points. UConn alums Aaliyah Edwards and Olivia Nelson-Ododa were the Sun’s second and third leading scorers in the game Aug. 21, scoring 10 points and 8 points respectively.

Now, the Sun turn their attention to their next opponent: the 9-26 Chicago Sky. The Sun are 1-1 against the Sky this season, losing the first matchup 78-66 on June 15 and winning the second contest 71-62 on Aug. 13.
