Parker Kligerman, driving in relief of Connor Zilisch, claimed the win in the Wawa 250 NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Aug. 22 at Daytona International Speedway in a green-white-checkered finish.
Kligerman replaced Zilisch during the first caution early in the race as the six-time winner this year nursed a broken collarbone suffered two weeks ago during a victory lane celebration at Watkins Glen.
Normally an analyst for the CW’s Xfinity Series coverage, Kligerman navigated the No. 88 Chevrolet to the front ahead of teammates Justin Allgaier and Sammy Smith, then held off the pair during a green-white-checkered finish as Austin Hill and Nick Sanchez produced a multi-car crash on the final lap.
