A new tournament is going in NXT.
NXT General Manager Ava appeared backstage during NXT this week, where she revealed that a tournament will start on September 2 to determine who will face Sol Ruca next for the WWE Speed Title. That tournament will include a lot of variety.
Ava revealed that SmackDown’s Candice LeRae, AAA’s Faby Apache, NXT’s Lainey Reid, and TNA’s Xia Brookside. That will see four people from different brands, and even companies, face off against each other.
Next week’s NXT will see Candice LeRae face Xia Brookside in singles action to kick off the tournament. The winner of the whole thing will face Sol Ruca for the WWE Speed Title at No Mercy.
WWE NXT No Mercy is scheduled for Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the FTL War Memorial in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We will have full coverage of the show here at Ringside News.
