Aaron Wolf Wins NEVER Openweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 20

by

Aaron Wolf just made history in his professional wrestling debut β€” defeating EVIL to win the NEVER Openweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 20 in a wild, interference-packed battle at the Tokyo Dome.

The Olympic gold medalist stepped into the NJPW ring for the first time and walked out with gold around his waist, surviving chair shots, powder to the face, table splashes, and the full wrath of HOUSE OF TORTURE to dethrone EVIL.

The match kicked off with a classic test of strength, with Wolf gaining the early advantage by delivering a big suplex and elbow smash, drawing huge cheers from the Tokyo Dome crowd. But that momentum came to a crashing halt outside the ring β€” after HOUSE OF TORTURE distracted the referee and jumped Wolf, allowing EVIL to take control.

EVIL lived up to his name, literally wrapping a chair around Wolf’s neck and smashing it with another, before taunting the fans with maniacal laughter.

Back in the ring, EVIL stayed on the attack with stiff Irish whips and multiple pin attempts, but Wolf showed serious grit. The Olympic judoka battled back with massive chops and cleared members of HOUSE OF TORTURE β€” until EVIL struck again, this time throwing powder in Wolf’s eyes and locking in the Darkness Scorpion submission.

Wolf screamed in pain β€” but he didn’t tap. EVIL tried to finish the job with a lariat barrage, but Wolf tanked the blows and came back with a huge Olympic Slam, nearly getting the three count. He followed it with a top-rope splash, but the match wasn’t over yet.

Bad Luck Fale hit the ring and crushed Wolf with a splash through a table, and EVIL followed up with a brutal lariat β€” but Wolf kicked out at two.

In a stunning comeback, Wolf countered the EVIL STO into a judo throw, then locked in a deep submission. EVIL refused to tap β€” but couldn’t survive. He passed out in the hold, and Aaron Wolf was declared the winner, making his debut a championship moment.

In his very first professional match, Aaron Wolf proved he’s not just an Olympic championβ€”he’s already a force in NJPW. Overcoming interference and inexperience, Wolf’s victory marks the start of what could be a historic second career in wrestling.
