During the September 27 episode of AEW Collision, Austin made his return to AEW television by officially joining The Bang Bang Gang. With Jay White and Colten Gunn both sidelined, Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn were on the hunt for a spark. This move comes more than a month after Ace’s AEW debut match on August 14, where he lost to Ricochet. Since then, he hadn’t wrestled a single match, leading to fan speculation that AEW had shelved him like so many others before. On September 26, Ace tweeted, “Always an Ace up my sleeve. 🃏♠️ Patience is a virtue; you must know how to play the cards right. It’s not a game of chance when you make your own luck.
