Ace Austin Returns to AEW Collision and Joins Stable After TV Absence

by

After weeks of silence and one cryptic tweet, Ace Austin has finally resurfaced—and he didn’t come alone.

During the September 27 episode of AEW Collision, Austin made his return to AEW television by officially joining The Bang Bang Gang. With Jay White and Colten Gunn both sidelined, Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn were on the hunt for a spark. That’s when Ace Austin stepped into the picture and made it clear—he’s not new to this, he’s just been waiting for the right moment. The moment ended with a handshake and a new alliance—Ace Austin is now part of AEW’s most chaotic faction.

This move comes more than a month after Ace’s AEW debut match on August 14, where he lost to Ricochet. Since then, he hadn’t wrestled a single match, leading to fan speculation that AEW had shelved him like so many others before. On September 26, Ace tweeted, “Always an Ace up my sleeve. 🃏♠️ Patience is a virtue; you must know how to play the cards right. It’s not a game of chance when you make your own luck. Not if.. but when. #INEVITABLE”—which many interpreted as a sign of frustration.

Turns out, it wasn’t frustration—it was foreshadowing. After a six-year run in TNA, Ace signed with AEW in August and immediately made an impression. But his sudden disappearance from TV raised eyebrows. Now, with his new role in Bang Bang Gang, it looks like AEW is ready to cash in on what fans saw all along—Ace Austin isn’t just another name, he’s inevitable.

What do you think about Ace Austin joining the Bang Bang Gang? Was this the right move, or should AEW be doing more with him? Sound off with your feedback and predictions in the comments below.
