AEW Collision Results (8/9/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights
The show opens up with Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness welcoming us and Paul Walter Hauser to the commentary desk. Kyle Fletcher then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night as we take a look at the attack on Dustin Rhodes and commentary addresses Dustin needing surgery. Tomohiro Ishii then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night.
AEW TNT Championship Match: Don Callis Family’s “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. The Conglomeration’s “The Stone Pitbull” Tomohiro Ishii
The match starts off with Ishii going on the attack early on, which leads to both men trading forearm strikes. Things then slow down for just a moment before both men go right back at it. Fletcher then hits the ropes, but is dropped to the mat with a shoulder tackle from Ishii. Fletcher then tries to get back into it, but is sent to the ropes by Ishii and Fletcher takes a breather on the outside. Fletcher then delivers some chops on Ishii and Ishii responds by sending Fletcher crashing into the corner. Ishii then sends Fletcher to another corner for more chops and he continues to wear Fletcher down until Fletcher turns it around to send Ishii to the mat with a hard kick.
Fletcher then continues his attack and Ishii, but takes a couple of kicks from Ishii before taking him down with a scoop slam. Fletcher then sets up for a chinlock, but Ishii fights to his feet before dropping Fletcher with a Saito suplex. Ishii then hits the ropes, only to be taken to the mat with a powerslam.
