AEW’s Mikey Rukus Confirms New Theme Music in the Works for Rising Tag Team

by

AEW just rolled out a brand-new theme for Collision, but that appears to be only the beginning of a larger music overhaul behind the scenes.

This week’s episode of AEW Collision introduced a new show theme that was quickly released across digital platforms, signaling another creative update for the brand. Mikey Rukus, the longtime composer responsible for much of AEW’s entrance music, is once again leading the charge — and he’s now teasing that more changes are on the way for talent themes as well.

Fans recently asked Rukus directly on social media whether he was currently working on new entrance music for the emerging pairing of Hyan and Maya World. His response was short, simple, and immediately caught attention.

That brief reply suggests AEW is preparing to further define the duo’s presentation as they continue to be featured more regularly on Collision.

Hyan and Maya World have been teaming together since November 2025 and have since signed with AEW, making their partnership more than just a temporary pairing. Maya World first appeared with the company in July 2024, while Hyan’s AEW history dates back to June 2021. Despite consistent appearances, the two are still chasing their first official tag team victory.

Their most visible outing to date came on the Worlds End Zero Hour pre-show last December, where they faced Julia Hart and Skye Blue as the Sisters of Sin. Hyan has also previously challenged for the ROH Women’s World Championship against Mercedes Martinez, showing that the company sees value in her as both a singles competitor and part of a team.

Entrance music changes are often a strong signal that AEW is looking to elevate a talent’s presentation, especially when Rukus personally confirms work is underway. For a newer team still building momentum, a custom theme can go a long way in helping establish identity with the audience.

With Collision already undergoing sonic changes and more themes apparently in development, it looks like AEW is actively investing in polishing how certain acts are presented heading deeper into 2026.

Do you think Hyan and Maya World are ready for a bigger push in AEW’s women’s division, and could a new theme help them connect more with fans? Share your thoughts and leave your feedback in the comments.
