I really thought we were gonna get two upsets last night.

I was puckered up for the entire fourth quarter of that game.

And I was a little surprised when the lights went out and T-Mobile hit the winning shot.

I had to watch the replay because I was trying to figure out if the shot actually did not go in.

It did not.

So the Aces held on to win at the very end of a game that was absolutely way too dramatic for me.

So if you won’t let Caitlin come back, then at least the Aces advanced, and now all of a sudden we’re gonna be looking at a Vegas Aces title, obviously.

And at least we have been graced with the good fortune to be able to watch Asia Wilson play basketball.

You see it right there: 38 points last night, and it almost feels like a 5 rebound, 3 assist game.

It’s just kind of like light work for Asia Wilson because we’ve been so accustomed to seeing her put up these monstrous double-double performances, but a 38 point night for Asia Wilson; she truly could not miss.

And this was one of the examples where it wasn’t pretty, but it was beautiful.

You have to find a way to win.

And there was some throwing of bones that the Seattle Storm had to do.

They missed a lot of their free throws.

They turned the ball over way too many times last night.

17 turnovers for Seattle that turned into 16 points for the Aces.

You look at the free throws, and the Seattle Storm only made 14 of their 18 free throws.

I mean, there were so many areas and so many opportunities for Seattle to come in and win this basketball game, but they didn’t.

And to the Aces.

The Aces are one of the best defensive teams in the entire WNBA, and I think we saw that on full display last night, and I think we saw last night why Asia Wilson is getting MVP nods and why, if I had a vote, I don’t, but Kathy called me.

I’d love one, why I would vote for Asia Wilson as MVP because she puts up a performance like that when her team needs it, when it’s a very neck and neck back and forth game, and it was neck and neck and back and forth all the way down to the final 30 seconds of that game last night.

Yeah, absolutely.

38 points, 25 in the second half.

Chelsea was also big in that one down the stretch.

Congrats to the aces, my aces, as they advanced to their seventh consecutive semi-finals.
