Coach Nate Oats and the Alabama Crimson Tide now know when they’ll be facing their SEC opponents in conference play ahead of the 2025-26 men’s basketball season.
While the SEC first announced each school’s conference opponents for 2025-26 back in June, the league unveiled full conference schedule dates for all 16 schools on Wednesday.

Alabama will open SEC play against the Kentucky Wildcats at Coleman Coliseum on Jan. 3. The Tide swept the Wildcats last season by winning 102-97 at Rupp Arena on Jan. 18 before a 96-83 win at Coleman Coliseum on Feb. 22, and a 99-70 blowout victory on March 14 in the SEC Tournament at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
Alabama’s first matchup against the Auburn Tigers will take place on Feb. 7 at Neville Arena. For the second straight year, the Crimson Tide will also close the regular season against Auburn — on March 7 at Coleman Coliseum.
The “Iron Bowl of Basketball” rivalry reached new heights last season when Alabama and Auburn met as No. 1 vs. No. 2 for the first time in history on Feb. 15 in Tuscaloosa, a 94-85 Tigers win. Alabama closed the regular season with a 93-91 victory at Auburn on a game-winning buzzer-beater from Mark Sears in overtime.
In addition to Auburn, the Crimson Tide will also face the Tennessee Volunteers and Mississippi State Bulldogs both at home and on the road. Alabama will welcome Tennessee to Coleman Coliseum on Jan. 24, with a return trip to Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville scheduled for Feb. 28.

The home portion of Alabama’s schedule also sees Arkansas, Texas, Texas A&M, Missouri and South Carolina visiting Coleman Coliseum.
The first road game on the Crimson Tide’s 2025-26 conference slate will come at Vanderbilt. Alabama will also travel to Gainesville to face the defending national champion Florida Gators, as well as make trips to LSU, Ole Miss, Georgia and Oklahoma in road play.

Oats is entering his seventh season at Alabama, which is coming off its second straight trip to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament and its fourth Sweet 16 appearance in five years. The Crimson Tide reached the Elite Eight for the second straight year back in March and fell to the Duke Blue Devils in the East Region final in Newark, New Jersey.

Alabama finished the 2024-25 season 28-9 overall. The Crimson Tide were ranked No. 6 in the final USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.
