Michigan State football will be welcoming in Boston College to East Lansing this season, a return game after the Spartans made the trip to Chestnut Hill a year ago. For the return game in East Lansing, where the Spartans will look to gain revenge against the Eagles, there will be a new signal caller.
Last year, the Spartans had to try and contain Thomas Castellanos, but after his departure to Florida State, head coach Bill O’Brien was tasked with naming a new starting quarterback.

The battle was shaking out between returning senior, and former FIU transfer, Grayson James and Alabama transfer Dylan Lonergan, who is a redshirt sophomore.
At the conclusion of the battle, with the team preparing for a game against Fordham, it was the Alabama transfer prevailing, earning the starting spot for Boston College.
