Aleksandr Chizov won PFL Europe gold Saturday and did so in the most violent of fashions.
In a lightweight battle that was scheduled for five rounds at 2025 PFL Europe 4, Chizov (13-3) only needed a little more than two to finish Connor Hughes (12-3) with a brutal right hand. The stoppage came at 0:50 of Round 3 at LDLC Arena in Lyon, France.

Chizov connected with the punch clean. Hughes was unconscious as he hit the canvas and Chizov dove with a follow-up punch that only semi-connected. It didn’t matter Hughes was done regardless and the fight was over.
Following the stoppage, Chizov drove home he had just caused some serious destruction, as he fired an imaginary shotgun over and over again in the direction of his downed opponent, “reloading” between each shot.
With the win, Latvita’s Chizov, 28, won the 2025 PFL Europe lightweight tournament having defeated Mark Ewen and Claudio Pacella to reach Saturday’s final.
