The latest UFC event caused moves in a few divisions.
In the main event of UFC 320, the first of two pay-per-view events in October, Alex Pereira reclaimed the light heavyweight crown by stopping Magomed Ankalaev in just 80 seconds. Entering the fight, Pereira sat at No. 2 in the division behind Ankalaev. With the result, those spots flip as “Poatan” once again holds gold.
In the co-feature, Merab Dvalishvili continued his dominant bantamweight run by defeating Cory Sandhagen. There’s nowhere to go for “The Machine,” because he’s already No. 1 in the division, but Sandhagen made a good enough account to maintain his No. 5 ranking.
