A top 5 women’s flyweight rematch is set for the UFC’s return to Seattle.
On March 28 at Climate Pledge Arena, former champion Alexa Grasso will once again take on Maycee Barber in a three-round bout. MMA Junkie confirmed the matchup with two sources who have knowledge of the booking. The fight was first reported by Krazy Kev MMA.

Former women’s flyweight title holder Grasso (16-5-1 MMA, 8-5-1 UFC) will aim to get back in the win column against a familiar opponent for the first time since winning the division’s crown. After defeating Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 285, Grasso fought her to a split draw in their rematch and then lost a trilogy bout by unanimous decision. In her only appearance of 2025, Grasso came up short on the cards against Natalia Silva, dropping another bout unanimously.
While Grasso has experienced a rough stretch after winning the title, Barber (15-2 MMA, 10-2 UFC) has been surging through the rankings ever since losing to Grasso in their first meeting at UFC 258 in February 2021. Grasso is currently ranked No. 3 in the UFC’s official rankings, with Barber at No. 5.
Barber enters their rematch on a seven-fight winning streak. After a medical issue kept her out of action recently, Barber triumphantly returned to action at UFC 323 last month to pick up a unanimous decision over Karine Silva. After the fight, Barber told MMA Junkie Radio she wanted the Grasso rematch, and the UFC matchmakers have granted that request.
At the time of writing, no other bouts for the UFC Seattle event have been confirmed.
