NXT’s most chaotic unit is heading to Slammiversary—and for the first time on television, all four members of DarkState are stepping into the ring together.
Cutler James, Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, and Saquon Shugars will compete as a full team against TNA’s System—JDC, Brian Myers, and Eddie Edwards—who will be joined by Matt Cardona for one night only. This comes on the heels of DarkState blindsiding all four men during the July 17 episode of TNA iMPACT!
While DarkState has been making serious noise since forming earlier this year, this will be just the second time all four members compete together in one match. Their only previous outing as a complete unit came at a WWE NXT live event on April 5 in Gainesville, Florida, where they scored a win over Drake Morreaux, Drako Knox, Javier Bernal, and Uriah Connors.
As for their opposition, Cardona and Myers are no strangers to each other. They’ve held WWE Tag Team gold together in the past, but recent TNA storylines saw The System turning against Cardona—until that tension snapped back into unity. During the July 17 show, The System made the save when DarkState launched a surprise attack, leading to the announcement of this explosive four-on-four match.
Now, all eight men are locked in for Slammiversary—and with egos, alliances, and history all crashing into one match, there’s no telling who walks out intact.
