Amanda Anisimova opens up about her preferred tennis surface

by

Amanda Anisimova is a tennis player who excelled last year and thus attracted enormous attention.

The 24-year-old had the best season in her career, and her ambition is certainly high this year as well.

While some were not optimistic that the young tennis player would make a breakthrough, Anisimova won her first two WTA titles.

Throughout her career, the American tennis player has shown that she really knows how to deal with strong opponents, but also that she likes to play on various surfaces.

However, just like every tennis player, Amanda has her favorite surfaces. In an interview with the media, the young tennis player revealed which surface she likes the most.

“My favourite surface to play on is probably hard court because I grew up playing on it. But I honestly love playing on all surfaces.

I feel comfortable playing on the grass, clay, and hard. I love the fact that we get to play on all of them throughout the year.”

While some expect that hard courts are precisely the surface on which she has her highest winning percentage, Anisimova showed the highest level of dominance on grass, winning as much as 67.5% of her matches.

Sudden success and a strong motive

The American is surprised by her successes in the last few months, but it is clear that this will serve as a motivation for her next challenges.

Amanda Anisimova showed last year that she really knows how to handle top tennis players and that she belongs in the company of the best. However, if she wants to maintain her status as one of the best female tennis players, it is necessary for her to show a high level of play this year as well and to try to make even greater progress.

Anisimova pointed out several times that it is about this season and that she impatiently wants to find out what awaits her in the future.
