Amanda Nunes responds to Sean Strickland’s misogynistic take on WMMA

by

Sean Strickland has again made the rounds on social media for all the wrong reasons, and UFC Hall of Famer Amanda Nunes has taken notice.

Strickland, a former UFC middleweight champion, made misogynistic comments on women’s MMA when asked about his thoughts on Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano at Wednesday’s UFC Fight Night 267 media day. Strickland said “nobody gives a f*ck” about women’s sports, claimed “the softest” male could beat up Nunes, a former two-division UFC champion who’s considered the greatest female fighter of all time. Strickland went on to state women are “too empowered,” and should focus on “making food and cleaning the house.”

Well, fast-forward a day later, and Nunes has issued a response to Strickland’s controversial comments.

“We do everything he said, and to top it all off, lol, we’re fighters too. #girlpower don’t cry,” Nunes wrote on Instagram.
