Itโs NJPW contract season, and another key name from Bullet Club War Dogs is nearing the end of his deal.
According to Fightful Select, Clark Connorsโ contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling is set to expire toward the end of January 2026. The report notes that Connorsโwho hasnโt wrestled since November 2โis among several NJPW talents whose status is now in question as the new year approaches.
โConnorsโ deal is set to expire towards the end of January 2026,โ Fightful reported, adding that heโs part of the ongoing review of talent contracts within the company.
This follows a similar situation with David Finlay, another Bullet Club War Dogs member, whose contract is also reportedly winding down. Like Finlay, Connors is believed to be exploring his options, particularly with U.S.-based promotions showing interest.
New Japan is reportedly hoping to retain both men, but thereโs no confirmation yet on whether Connors plans to re-sign or test free agency.
โA number of NJPW talent actually worked without deals for a number of months in 2025 and re-signed along the way on one-year deals,โ Fightful noted. โOthers signed through the January period.โ
While fans often assume all NJPW deals expire in January, thatโs not entirely true. Some stars have negotiated different timelines or simply continued working without formal contracts until things were finalized.
With Clark Connors inactive since November and David Finlay already fielding outside interest, NJPW could be facing a significant shift in its rosterโespecially within the Bullet Club War Dogs faction.
Do you think Clark Connors should re-sign with NJPWโor is it time for him to make a move to the U.S.? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
