Anthony Bowens Calls Out AEW Over Lack of TV Time

by

Just shortly after a potential reunion with Max Caster played out on AEW Collision, Anthony Bowens fired off a blunt message on social media — and it’s got people wondering if he’s speaking from the heart or staying in character.

Responding to a fan who called him underrated and urged AEW to “let him run with it,” Bowens didn’t hold back. He said he gets overlooked because he’s never been given the opportunity to go 20–30 minutes with anyone in AEW — the kind of match, he says, that really allows a wrestler to prove their worth.

“I get overlooked bc I’ve never had an opportunity to go 20–30 minutes or more with someone in AEW. That is really when you start to earn your stripes. You can’t make a determination without giving people the chance to prove you wrong.”

He ended the post by declaring himself “ELITE & THE PRIDE OF PRO WRESTLING,” making it clear he knows his value — even if he feels it’s not being fully recognized by the company.

The timing couldn’t be more interesting. On the September 13 episode of Collision, Bowens and Caster brawled backstage and then worked together to fight off an ambush from Blake Christian and Lee Johnson. Jerry Lynn tried to play peacemaker, urging them to get back on the same page. They shared the ring in what felt like a reunion moment — but the tension still hung in the air as both men walked away separately.

Now, with The Acclaimed’s reunion teased and Bowens sounding off online, fans are left wondering whether this is part of a story—or if he’s genuinely frustrated.

Is Anthony Bowens right to call out AEW over his lack of time to shine? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
