CHICAGO — UFC middleweight Gerald Meerschaert joins MMA Fighting’s José Youngs to discuss everything from his love for astrophysics, musicians, movies, concerts, and more.
A longtime UFC veteran, “GM3” was last seen coming up short to Michal Oleksiejczuk on the prelim card of UFC 319 in August. This setback marked Meerschaert’s third straight loss, after having been finished by Reinier de Ridder and dropping a unanimous decision to Brad Tavares.
To date, the Wisconsin native holds several UFC records, including most finishes and submission wins in middleweight division history, as well as the highest submission finish rate in UFC history (91.7%).
