AP Top 25: Oregon moves to No. 2 as Ole Miss leaps nine spots to No. 4

Oregon moved up to No. 2 in the AP Top 25 after its double-overtime win over Penn State.

The Ducks jumped four spots after the 30-24 victory was sealed by safety Dillon Thienemann’s interception in the second extra period. Ohio State remained at No. 1 ahead of Oregon as Miami dropped to No. 3.

Ole Miss moved up nine spots to No. 4 after beating LSU 24-19 at home on Saturday. The Tigers entered the game as the No. 4 team in the country and still haven’t scored more than 23 points against an FBS opponent all season.

Oklahoma was off and moved up two spots from No. 7 to No. 5 thanks to losses by the Tigers and Nittany Lions. Texas A&M jumped three spots to No. 6 after beating Auburn at home ahead of No. 7 Penn State, No. 8 Indiana, No. 9 Texas and No. 10 Alabama.

The Crimson Tide made a seven-spot leap after their 24-21 win over Georgia. The Bulldogs fell from No. 5 to No. 12 and are a spot ahead of LSU at No. 13. Texas Tech is between Alabama and Georgia at No. 11.
