Apollo Crews is back in action — at least in training — after being sidelined for nearly seven months.
The WWE star, who last competed on the January 24, 2024 episode of SmackDown in a win over Johnny Gargano, has taken a major step in his recovery from a serious pectoral injury.
Shortly after that match, reports surfaced that Crews had suffered an injury during the bout. He later confirmed the news himself and revealed the situation was serious enough to require surgery.
Now, fans finally have a reason to be optimistic. Crews has returned to in-ring training, working out at The Dungeon — with independent wrestler Eli Knight. Knight even shared a clip of the two practicing together, showing that Crews is getting his body ready for a comeback.
While WWE hasn’t locked in an official return date, Crews’ training session was enough to get fans talking again — especially those eager to see the former Intercontinental Champion back where he belongs.
It’s too early to say when Crews will wrestle on TV again, but he’s clearly putting in the work behind the scenes. Whether WWE is ready to pull the trigger on his return remains to be seen.
